Safety Glass
Safety glass should be installed in the following locations:
Sliding panels of patio and swinging doors;
In doors and enclosures for the tubs, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, bathtubs and showers;
Any window that is less than 60 inches above any bathtub;
In any window where the pane has a surface area grater than 9 square feet and the bottom edge is less than 18 inches off of the floor;
Any window that is within 24 inches of an exterior door and more than 9 square feet of surface area;
All glass inserts in any form of railing, regardless of dimensions, and
Any windows at the base of a stairway or landing.
